The collection consists of photographs, undated, portraying images of mostly unidentified military hospitals during World War I. One photograph with an identified hospital shows a group of officers and nurses in front of Officers Ward U.S. Army General Hospital No. 1. Photographs depict various groups of doctors, nurses, and wounded soldiers; and dining halls, dining staff, and a hospital baseball team. A few photographs are of nurses, probably at the nurses' rest home, and German soldiers in the field.

Also included are letters from 1938 while he was in a VA Hospital in Bath, New York. The collection contains several references to the flu outbreak of 1918, and the some typed rosters of the 214th and 71st Engineers.

This collection contains Claude Williams, Jr.'s papers related to his businesses in Athens, Georgia, his military training and service during World War II, and his uncle Herbert Williams' military service during World War I. The business records mainly pertain to Georgia Outdoor Advertising's purchase of other advertising companies as well as the board of directors' meeting minutes. Material related to Herbert Williams' service as a volunteer ambulance driver in the American Field Service during World War I include a photograph album, copies of the "American Field Service Bulletin", maps of France, and his medals. Much of the papers pertaining to Claude Williams' serivice during World War II are training materials and his notes from the United States Army Infantry School at Fort Benning near Columbus, Georiga. Also included are some Williams family photographs and a book on the family's history focused on Claude and his wife Charlotte. Note that box 1 folders 1-2 contain material written in French.

This collection contains photographs and documents regarding Austin E. Guinn's activities as a US Navy steward and photographer from 1909-1922, and as an egg farmer in Butler, Georgia from 1923 until his death in 1945. Included are photographs of events in the Mexican War, Navy ships in ports in the Caribbean and in World War I Atlantic convoys, Washington DC monuments seen from the air, photographs of Woodrow Wilson, General Pershing and Marshall Foch, aerial photos of the Billy Mitchell ship bombing tests, Glenn Curtiss' first seaplane, as well as various other airships in development by the Navy. There are also many pictures depicting life on the Peach Valley Egg Farm, including legal documents and genealogical information about the Guinn family and the egg farm.
